Rumor Roundup for Thursday, June 27 - Mysterio, Briscoes, Taz, and More!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Rumors for the Day:

• Rey Mysterio is still working to return to action by SummerSlam, recently stating that his physical therapy was going well. The last two times he was hoping for clearance to return ended with more knee surgery.
• With the Briscoes, Mark and Jay, officially no longer under contract with Ring of Honor, there is some debate as to what will be done with Jay's World Title. The promotion isn't giving out much information, but hasn't completely closed the door on the pair, though their return is still believed to be unlikely. If they do not return, expect to see a tournament to crown a new Ring of Honor world champion
• TNA's contract with former ECW star and current TNA color commentator Taz is set to expire in the very soon (his last contracted appearance is said to be the July 4 Impact taping from Las Vegas, NV,) and there is a lot of speculation that he may be rejoining WWE. Adding fuel to the fire of speculation is a tweet Taz sent out mentioning wrestling at the Barclay's center in Brooklyn, NY, where WWE will be holding Monday Night Raw on July 15. The tweet was later deleted.
