Last night's (June 24, 2013) episode of Monday Night Raw from North Charleston, South Carolina, featured the continuation of the McMahon family nonsense overrunning absolutely anything that has to do with or anything backstage or really anything involving the announcing of a match.

That's why no one batted an eye when Stephanie McMahon showed up, shamed Vickie Guerrero, and promptly announced the seven participants in the WWE championship Money in the Bank ladder match set for the pay-per-view (PPV) of the same name on Sun., July 14, 2013, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

They are:

  1. CM Punk
  2. Daniel Bryan
  3. Randy Orton
  4. Rob Van Dam
  5. Kane
  6. Sheamus
  7. Christian

All former champions with impressive resumes, as the WWE.com match preview post points out:

With its seven participants accounting for 12 WWE Title reigns and 19 Money in the Bank outings combined, the veritable all-star lineup of this year's WWE Championship Contract contest makes the bout among the most loaded and intriguing Money in the Bank Ladder Matches of all time. To find out which Superstar will rise about the rest and leave Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center with a guaranteed title contract, don't miss Money in the Bank when it airs live on pay-per-view Sunday, July 14, at 8 ET/5 PT.

Still a bit of an odd line-up, though, all things considered. Kane feels out of place, though he has extensive history with Rob Van Dam, who is making his big return to the company at this show. Sheamus also feels out of place considering the storylines he's been involved with of late. The same can be said of Christian, though that explains why they were rubbing elbows on Raw.

Bryan and Orton make sense considering their characters and current situations, as does Punk. This looks like a prime spot for Bryan to win to set up his run at the WWE title, and that would be a really big deal considering the star power in this match.

We shall see.

Here's the updated Money in the Bank match card and line-up:

- John Cena vs. Mark Henry (WWE championship)
- WWE Title MITB Ladder Match (Punk vs. Bryan vs. Orton vs. Kane vs. Sheamus vs. RVD vs. Christian)
