Let it never be said that Chris Jericho has too much pride or doesn't understand the business of professional wrestling. The former heavyweight champion opened the pay-per-view (PPV) at Extreme Rules tonight (Sun., May 19, 2013) at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri, against his current chief rival Fandango.
It was a rematch of their WrestleMania 29 encounter that saw the dancer roll up the rocker for a surprise victory.
This time, Fandango failed on his roll up attempt and Jericho got his win back, as so many expected him to do. It was a solid match, nothing special, but the commentary team put over the fact that Fandango has finally suffered a pinfall defeat in WWE.
Hey, at least he won on the bigger stage, right?
