Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we will be taking a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.
Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact; so remember to take it all with a grain of salt.
Rumors for the Day:
- As you may have seen, the likely time schedule for each match at WrestleMania 29 was posted yesterday. As for the order of the matches, to the surprise of no one, John Cena vs. The Rock for the WWE title will be the main event (final match) of the evening. There was some speculation that, since CM Punk and Undertaker closed out the "go home" edition of Raw, that they could sneak into the main event. Their match is expected to go on around the halfway point of the show.
- There is still an outside chance of a Kaitlyn vs. AJ Lee match for the Divas title being added to the WrestleMania 29 card. It is also possible that they will be added to the Tag Team title match (Team Hell No against Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston) with a possible "all titles change hands" stipulation.
- Another name that was under consideration for the WWE Hall of Fame earlier this year and may be considered again next year is long time WWE composer Jim Johnston. Johnston has written the theme music for countless WWE wrestlers and is a name to watch for the 2014 Hall of Fame class. Other names previously rumored to be under consideration for next year's class are D-Generation X and John Bradshaw Layfield. (And given recent events, Paul Bearer as well.)
- Edge, the headliner of the 2012 WWE Hall of Fame class, will not be attending this year's Hall of Fame ceremony nor WrestleMania 29. He confirmed as much via Twitter.
