Don't adjust your calendars, Cagesiders, it isn't Monday (April 29) quite yet. That's when Brock Lesnar and John Cena met inside a steel cage at WWE's Extreme Rules in Chicago, IL last year (2012). But ten years ago, almost to the day, the two went head-to-head for the WWE Championship at Backlash 2003. Spooky, am I right?

A villainous Cena -- if you can believe that -- challenged "The Next Big Thing" after Lesnar whipped the rappin' wrestler against the ring post with an F5, busting his knee up. Cena recovered and entered into a tournament to crown a number one contender following WrestleMania XIX.

He defeated the likes of Eddie Guerrero, The Undertaker and Chris Benoit to win the whole thing, earning a spot against Lesnar at the pay-per-view (PPV).

It's funny how as much as things change, they stay the same. While Cena is the Kangol-wearing, throwback jersey-sporting rapper he was then, his beef with Lesnar arises from a dastardly F5 from the big man.
