Welcome back to another edition of "Slapstick Saturday," Cagesiders, where your old pal Hulk Holland pokes fun at every botch, blooper and bomb the world of professional wrestling has ever given us.
You may not remember the Alamo, but you should at least remember another historical day in Texas, when WWE superstar Shawn Michaels and his wife Rebecca were spotted courtside at the San Antonio Spurs vs. Charlotte Bobcats NBA game.
Nothing out of the ordinary, considering Michaels is a Texan.
Nor would it come as a surprise to see him at the AT&T Center two days before the WWE: Tables, Ladders and Chairs pay-per-view (PPV) event at the same venue, where he would join up with Triple H as D-Generation X to battle Jeri-Show (Chris Jericho and Big Show) for the tag team titles.
But what's this?
The Charlotte Bobcats' mascot, "Rufus Lynx," was getting all kinds of loud up in this joint, even sucker-punching the Spurs coyote. Oh noes! How will the game continue now that Rufus done hijacked it?
Cue "Sexy Boy" over the arena loudspeaker.
Sweet Chin Music. Is there no problem it can't solve?
