Here's your Daily Open Thread for Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013:

Today, let's get back to basics shall we? To kick things off here is a song best described by the man who penned it and made it a chart-topping hit. Just before he was about to perform it live at Wembley Stadium with his band a few years back this is what he had to say about it:
