In a match-up that probably wasn't as close as it should have been, Kevin and Kerry Von Erich defeated Sgt. Slaughter and Don Kernodle by a score of 34-12 to advance to the second round in the Cageside Seats Greatest Tag Team Tournament.

Now, the first round continues today with a match-up pitting number four seed Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) against number 13 seed Quebecers (Jacques Rougeau and Pierre).
