Long story short, the main event stole the show. Hiroshi Tanahashi, despite telling the press he would debut a new finisher, decided against it for whatever reason. Karl Anderson did not win the title, but he did win over the audience in terms of being seen in a new light with this performance. Semi-mains with the two CHAOS vs. Suzukigun matches and Laughter7 vs. Goto/Inoue were not out-of-this-world, but were still solid matches.
