CSSGMT First Round Match: (7) The Reunion vs. (10) Eddie Cheats

The first round of the Cageside Seats Greatest Moment Tournament continues today with a match-up pitting number seven seed The Reunion, featuring Macho Man Randy Savage reuniting with Miss Elizabeth, against number 10 seed Eddie Cheats, featuring Eddie Guerrero cheating his way to the WWE championship.

The Reunion:

Macho Man Randy Savage and Elizabeth, the greatest couple in pro wrestling history, had split up. Then, at WrestleMania 7, Savage was defeated by Ultimate Warrior in a retirement match and physically abused by his new valet, Sensational Sherri, in the aftermath. Elizabeth, who was in the crowd, could only stomach so much before jumping the barrier and running down to make the save. This led to an incredibly emotional reunion.

Eddie Cheats:

Eddie Guerrero worked his entire career through unimaginable ups and downs to reach the top of the industry. It took finding a gimmick that saw him lie, cheat, and steal his way to the winner's circle. Finally, he became popular enough for WWE to put him over Brock Lesnar in the main event of No Way Out in 2004. The culmination of his career in front of thousands of adoring fans made for an incredible moment.
