On this date in WWF history: Chris Jericho becomes the first-ever Undisputed Champion at Vengeance

To this day, only one man has ever defeated both The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin in the same night. Chris Jericho holds that distinction, and he accomplished that feat on this date in WWF history at Vengeance.

On December 9, 2001, Chris Jericho defied the predictions of most fantasy bookers and not only defeated The Rock, but also Stone Cold Steve Austin (in the same night) to unify the WCW Heavyweight Championship -- the Big Gold Belt -- and the WWF Championship.

The final result: Y2J left WWE Vengeance the first-ever Undisputed Champion.

But there was plenty of dispute between wrestling fans. How about it Cagesiders, what was your initial reaction to having Jericho go over both "The Brahma Bull" and "The Rattlesnake," two of pro wrestling's hottest acts in 2001?
