The Rock won't be at WrestleMania 30 but he might be at WrestleMania 31

No surprises here, really.

When The Rock suffered multiple injuries during his main event match against John Cena at WrestleMania 29 on April 7, 2013, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, it forced WWE to alter its plans. Remember all that "panic" at Monday Night Raw the next night when "The Great One" didn't show up for a planned angle opposite Brock Lesnar? Those reports may or may not have been overplayed but the plan was right and true.

It was supposed to be Rock vs. Lesnar at WrestleMania 30 on April 6, 2014, in New Orleans.

Since then, the company has gone in an entirely new direction, as has Rock. He's off doing big things in Hollywood on the strength of a hugely successful 2013 campaign. That means we shouldn't expect to see "The Brahma Bull" in "The Big Easy" come spring.

But what about WrestleMania 31?

During his "Rock Talk" session on Twitter today, the man himself alluded to the possibility of another match in Santa Clara in 2015:

This far away from that event, it's impossible to even speculate on what he could bring to the table for it. Hell, stars like CM Punk might even be retired by then. Who knows?

Still, it's nice to know The Rock might be back for one more run ... or is it?

You decide, Cagesiders.
