Before we go further, let me just get this out of the way: I have no idea if what I'm writing about for this date in pro wrestling history actually ever took place on this date in history. And here's the thing: I don't really care.

Why? Because it's New Year's Eve, I didn't feel like doing any real research, and I won't ever pass up on any opportunity, real or imagined, to write about the living legend Ron Simmons and quite possibly the greatest gimmick ever.
