The S3: Vote for Best Performer of the 2013-14 Season, Week 38

Join in a discussion with your fellow internet fans about the past week in pro wrestling: who entertained us the most, and why!

Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - The Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.

Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the three performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.

We also have the outcome of last week's voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for Performer of the Year. The top ten from last week and the year-to-date are below.

Remember, the Standings are for the previous week's nationally televised pro wrestling shows - the December 23rd episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Wednesday night's WWE Main Event, TNA Impact from December 26th, the WWE SmackDown that aired on Friday, December 27th and WWE's Tribute to the Troops special that aired on Saturday the 28th.

Make YOUR mark, smarks!

Winning a weekly S3 > hugging a giant purple dinosaur, though.

• Defeating John Cena and consolidating the major title in the company and having a 4+ star match on Raw narrowly edged out losing to The Wyatts and having a 4+ star match on Raw.

• It was shorter than I wanted it to be, but the right man won the best match at Final Resolution - and the man who did the job earned a point and a half at the bottom of the weekly ten. Telling that the new TNA World champ didn't place, though.

• The Intercontinental champ had a pay-per-view (PPV) title defense and a couple of wins over The Real Americans as he continued to show what he can do in the ring. The new #1 contender for his belt traded wins with The Show Off and earned a few votes, along with his dance partner.

• The Eater of Worlds crab walked to victory, and to a top five finish.

• CM Punk overcame the odds at TLC while working with the unusually-absent-from-The S3 Hounds of Justice, and continuing to work towards HHH and The Authority.
