The Round of 32 of the Cageside Seats Greatest Moment Tournament kicks off today with a match-up pitting number one seed Austin 3:16, featuring Stone Cold Steve Austin cutting one of the most popular promos of all time, against number nine seed Douglas Represents, featuring Shane Douglas throwing down the NWA heavyweight title in favor of the ECW heavyweight championship belt.

After his win over Jake Roberts at King of the Ring 1996, Stone Cold Steve Austin used Roberts new Christian gimmick to cut a promo announcing his arrival on the main event scene as a major player. No one could have known how popular it would become, sparking the catchphrase "Austin 3:16", one of the most popular of all time.

Douglas Represents:

After winning the NWA heavyweight title under the Eastern Championship Wrestling banner in 1994, Shane Douglas cut a memorable promo declaring himself "The Franchise" and disowning the NWA belt, throwing it down, before introducing the ECW heavyweight title.
