Tonight's (Sun., Dec. 15, 2013) TLC pay-per-view (PPV) at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, kicked off with CM Punk taking on The Shield in a 3-on-1 handicap match because, well, you might as well get some of the good stuff out of the way early, right?
Sure enough, it was a great match that told a very specific story, namely that of the "Hounds of Justice" planting even more seeds for their inevitable break up.
The finish saw Roman Reigns, who was knocked a little loopy earlier in the match, climb back in the ring to attempt a spear on Punk. Unfortunately, "The Straight Edge Superstar" moved out of the way and Reigns speared Dean Ambrose out of his boots.
"The Second City Savior" capitalized and picked up the pinfall victory.
This was a much better match than one might expect from a 3-on-1 handicap affair.
