Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact; so remember to take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Late last week, I passed on a rumor from a fairly hit-or-miss (mostly miss) source that mentioned the possibility of a champion vs. champion ladder match at next month's Tables, Ladders, and Chairs (TLC) pay per view (PPV.) Past rumors have suggested this as a potential WrestleMania XXX matchup, and it didn't make sense for them to waste something like that at a "B" PPV like TLC. Well, if you were watching last night's Survivor Series PPV, you saw the show close with WWE champion Randy Orton and World Heavyweight Champion John Cena facing each other with titles raised. Now, title unification would be quite the conclusion to leap to based only on that, but there are rumors out there giving it a little credence.
  • If you were watching Survivor Series, you also would have saw Mark Henry's return to action. Promotional materials which came out over the weekend for house shows in Washington and British Columbia in early December list Randy Orton vs. Mark Henry as the main event. This could be a possible direction WWE is taking on the creative side, or it could simply be some house show fodder.
  • CM Punk and Daniel Bryan defeated Luke Harper and Erick Rowan of the Wyatt family last night, and that feud is expected to continue. Past rumors suggested that the goal of this feud is to elevate the Wyatt family to a higher position on the card, so it would make sense for them to pick up a win at a gimmicky event like TLC to even up the series.
  • Still running with the Survivor Series theme, Natalya was indeed supposed to be the sole survivor for her team after she forced AJ Lee to tap out. However, Nikki Bella was down at ringside and was never officially eliminated. This was a mistake and Nikki was supposed to have been eliminated earlier in the match.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Please remember, these are merely rumors. Try not to take them too seriously, just have fun with them.
