CM Punk and Daniel Bryan may not be working in the main event going for any of the major championship titles in WWE at current time, but they were tasked with helping get the Wyatt Family over as a legitimate, credible threat tonight (Sun., Nov. 24, 2013) at the TD Garden Arena in Boston, Massachusetts, in the co-main event of Survivor Series.
If nothing else, Punk & Bryan would have a good match with Luke Harper and Erick Rowan, right?
Sure enough, they put together a fun little back-and-forth affair with Bray Wyatt always lurking on the outside. He wasn't nearly as involved as you may have thought he would be. Instead, Harper and Rowan were left to hang with The Best and The Beard on their own.
They couldn't.
Not in the kayfabe sense. They did measure up just fine as far as putting on a quality match in this particular position on an important pay-per-view. If nothing else, WWE found a way to send the fans home relatively happy with two of its most popular stars, Punk and Bryan, getting unique entrances and exits.
Hooray for all.
