WWE Survivor Series match card preview: Divas Elimination Tag Team

Fourteen women go to war, as the cast of Total Divas collides with AJ Lee's crew of female wrestlers who aren't featured on that E! reality show. Will the future of women's wrestling in WWE be decided, or are we just watching for future blooper footage?

Elimination Tag Team

AJ Lee (c), Tamona Snuka, Kaitlyn, Rosa Mendes, Summer Rae, Aksana & Alicia Fox vs. Natalya, The Bellas, The Funkadactyls, JoJo & Eva Marie

Every storyline from Raw, Smackdown and Total Divas gets thrown out the window so we can have a massive, multiplayer online game elimination tag match pitting the cast of the E! reality show against...pretty much every female employed by WWE who is not a cast member of the show that will be airing opposite the pay-per-view (PPV) on the night of Sunday, November 24th.

The Road to Survivor Series

This one can be traced back to one of the most defining moments a female wrestler has ever delivered: Divas champion AJ Lee's "pipebombshell" from August. Clearly drawing a line between herself and any women who wrestles but does not participate in the successful cable show that purports to follow the personal lives of female sports entertainers, The Pint-Sized Powderkeg set-up pretty much every storyline we've gotten from the division since when she called everyone from Total Divas, "cheap, interchangeable, expendable, useless women".

Of course, those women took offense - whether they were brand new and had never wrestled a day in their life (such as Eva Marie and JoJo), raised in the business (Natalya), gifted athletes (Naomi) or anywhere in between (Cameron, Brie & Nikki Bella).

AJ has at times attempted to rally the stars who have not appeared on E! to varying degrees of success. This has lead to her ongoing partnership with the woman playing Diesel to her Heartbreak Kid, Tamina Snuka. And on Sunday in Boston, it has lead to her motley crew of Aksana, Alicia Fox, Rosa Mendes, Summer Rae and, strangest of all, former best friend turned bitter rival, Kaitlyn.

These two groups of women will fight for pride and honor when they collide in the largest traditional Survivor Series match ever booked consisting of singles competitiors

What's at stake?

In kayfabe, Lee's troops want to prove that the women who will be on TV twice this weekend are what the champ called them this summer, and get a measure of justice for their perceived mistreatment. The E! cast wants to not only prove her wrong but make her eat those words, proving that they are every bit the competitors that their opponents are.

In reality, the person with the most to gain here is probably Summer Rae. Fandango's dance partner reportedly is on her way up the card. Being booked strongly on PPV would be a sign that that rumor is true, and the former Lingerie Football League star can justify managements faith in her by impressing.

As fans, we'll want to watch how they handle Eva Marie. Speculation on her future usually includes the phrase "everybody backstage hates her", but she has been getting her arm raised after matches more and more lately. She hasn't shown a talent for anything other than wearing swimsuits, but that hasn't stopped WWE from putting a title around a woman's waist before.

Will 14 women be able to make an impression, or is this one doomed to future "worst traditional Survivor Series match" lists?
