CSSGMT First Round Match: (7) Goldberg's Apex vs. (10) The Shield Debut

The first round of the Cageside Seats Greatest Moment Tournament continues today with a match-up pitting number seven seed Goldberg's Apex, featuring Bill Goldberg winning the WCW heavyweight title from Hulk Hogan on Nitro, against number 10 seed The Shield Debut, featuring the evening Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Dean Ambrose burst on the scene at Survivor Series 2012.

Goldberg's Apex:

Through the first half of 1998, Bill Goldberg became a home grown star for WCW, the only wrestler on the roster who got over as a legitimate main event player who wasn't involved with the nWo. Then, in a shocking decision, he was booked to win the heavyweight title from Hulk Hogan on an episode of Monday Nitro in a sold out Georgia Dome in Atlanta.

The Shield Debut:

During a triple threat WWE championship match pitting CM Punk vs. Ryback vs. John Cena at Survivor Series 2012, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Dean Ambrose ran in from the crowd clad in all black and laid Ryback out with a triple powerbomb through the ringside announce table. They would come to be known as The Shield while consistently putting on the best matches on WWE television week after week.
