Rumor Roundup for Tuesday, November 19 - Woods, WWE Network, DVD, and More!

Woods/R-Truth team up...again, WWE Network target date, what is missing from the next Shawn Michaels DVD? And more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact; so remember to take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • If R-Truth introducing Xavier Woods as his new tag team partner last night on Raw seems oddly familiar, it's because it is now the second time that pair has teamed up. The first time was in 2007 in TNA, where Truth, working under his given name Ron Killings, introduced Woods, then working under the name "Consequences Creed," as his replacement partner, taking over for NFL player Adam "Pacman" Jones. Rumors have been strong recently that Woods was due for a call up to the main roster from NXT, and it appears that he will be introduced teaming with R-Truth in an unusually familiar tag team.
  • As you may have heard, WWE will end their "Classics on Demand" service in February, 2014. As of the most recent reports, that is still the target date for the launch of the WWE Network. While WWE's ideal goal would be to have a full-blown cable channel devoted to all things WWE, they may be exploring options similar to their On-Demand service for running the network. This would not be ideal, however, as it would exclude customers using satellite, as the lack of two-way communication between sender and receiver prevents On-Demand type services. The details are still hazy on what the final product of the WWE Network will end up being, but this is clearly another step towards that goal.
  • WWE will be releasing a new DVD next year titled Shawn Michaels: Mr. WrestleMania which will feature all 16 of Michaels' career WrestleMania matches. If you recall there being 17 matches in Michaels' career, you're not wrong. WWE representatives have confirmed that Michaels' WrestleMania 20 triple threat match against Triple H and Chris Benoit will not be included. This decision was perhaps made after WWE faced criticism for including Benoit in their War Games DVD released earlier this year.
