WWE Battleground results, LIVE match coverage tonight (Oct. 6) from Buffalo

Complete results and live match coverage of the entire "Battleground" pay-per-view (PPV) event from Buffalo tonight (Oct. 6, 2013) featuring Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan, CM Punk vs. Ryback, and much, much more!

WWE Battleground is all set to pop off tonight (Sun., Oct. 6, 2013) from the First Niagara Center in Buffalo, New York, at 8 p.m. ET, live on pay-per-view (PPV). will provide LIVE blow-by-blow, match-by-match coverage of Battleground below, beginning with the first match of the evening and right on through to the main event.

Tonight's show will feature Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan for the WWE championship, Alberto Del Rio vs. Rob Van Dam for the world heavyweight title, CM Punk vs. Ryback, and much, much more.

World Heavyweight Championship Match (Hardcore rules): Alberto Del Rio (c) vs Rob Van Dam

Del Rio insists that Lillian introduced him in Spanish after Ricardo did RVD's intro.

They quickly end up on the outside and RVD hits a moonsault off the barricade.

The announcers are playing up a knee injury to Sandow supposedly suffered in his match against Ziggler.

RVD hits a huge DDT onto a chair.  ADR with a quick recovery and he takes control of the match.

A flurry of chairshots and abdominal stretches from ADR.

RVD takes control with some acrobatic countering but ADR is eventually able to get back to grind pressure on him.

More weapons are making their way into the match as they each trade spots with a ladder.

ADR takes control through use of the trash can.  He comes off the top rope and nails RVD with the trash can and follow up kick.

RVD recovers and hits a flurry of strikes that he ends with a slam onto the ladder.

RVD goes for the Rolling Thunder onto the ladder but ADR rolls out the way.

ADR slaps on the arm bar but Ricardo gets involved as he nails ADR with the bucket!

RVD with an attempted roll up but fails.

ADR tosses RVD from the ring and ADR is yelling at Ricardo.

ADR starts to attack Ricardo and puts him into the barrier on the outside.

He tries to follow up but RVD lays him out with the ladder.

As the ladder is on top of ADR, RVD hits a frog splash leap from the apron onto the ladder!

RVD rolls him back into the the ring and goes for the Van Terminator but ADR rolls out of the way.

ADR recovers and traps RVD's arm in the chair.

ADR stomps on the chair repeatedly before locking in the armbar with the chair still in place.

RVD taps and ADR retains!

Alberto Del Rio wins by submission and retains as World Heavyweight Champion


Real Americans in the back as Colter trashes Buffalo and the illegal Canadians crossing the border.


Real Americans vs Great Khali and Santino

Swagger and Santino start things off.

Swagger thoroughly dominating Santino.

Hornswoggle pulls out his own cobra to distract Swagger but Swagger steals it and rips it up.

Some slams from Swagger and then a tag.

Swagger hits the Swagger Bomb after the tag and Cesaro leap frogs over a standing Swagger to hit a double stomp. Awesome sequence

Cesaro tags back in Swagger after some uppercuts.

Santino escapes a Swagger assault and tags in Khali as Swagger tags in Cesaro.

Khali with some chops and he goes for thep in but Swagger makes the save.

Swagger ties up Santino but Khali hits the chop and knocks Swagger down.

Santino springboards out as Cesaro takes down Khali.


He follows it up with the pin for the win.

Real Americans win by pinfall.


Intercontinental Championship Match: Curtis Axel (c) vs R-Truth

Heyman is with Axel at ringside.

Truth opening up strong and is really dominating this match.

Truth is constantly beating down Axel and ends up tossing him to the outside.

After a couple of runs through this, Axel takes control of the match.

Axel slows the match down and starts to grind on Truth.

Truth tries for a comeback and goes for the scissors kick but Axel counters and Truth hits a sunset flip for two.

Axel gets the pinfall after nailing Truth into the corner and then hitting the swinging neckbreaker.

Curtis Axel wins and retain as Intercontinental Champion.


Diva's Championship Match: AJ Lee (c) vs Brie Bella

Some "wrestling" occurs.  Brie appears to be on the path to victory when Tamina attacks Nikki.

The attack provides the distraction that gives AJ the opportunity for a roll up and the win.


Rhodes Family promo in the back that is awesome.

Goldust rocking some Darth Maul-esque face paint for this match.


The Shield vs The Rhodes Family

Ambrose and Dusty at ringside.

I am going to keep it light on this one because I am going to be marking out too much.

Early sequences leads to the outside and we get a Mexican standoff- awesome.

Rollins mocks Goldust rubbing his chest.

The wrestling in this match is phenomenal.

After so much crazy action featuring moonsaults, musclebusters, and bodies flying everywhere the Rhodes family got the pin when Cody hit the Cross Rhodes on Rollins.

Just before the pin- Ambrose and Dusty got into it on the outside.  Ambrose eat a Bionic Elbow.

The Rhodes Family wins by pinfall.

The faces and a bunch of the road agents come out to celebrate with them.


Maddox is freaking out in the back as the McMahon Family has apparently left the show and put him in charge.

He asks Vickie for some help but she turns him down.


Bray Wyatt vs Kofi Kingston

Wyat thouroughly dominating this match and with some impressive spots including a fantastic slam as Wyatt pulled Kofi in from the outside.

Holy Fuck Wyatt did his corner look back spot and then started crawling on all fours bridged!

Wyatt hits the Sister Abigail for the pinfall.

Wyatt wins by pinfall.

After the pinfall, Harper and Rowan get in on the action and hit a couple of slams and back breakers.

Wyatt gets on the mic and cuts a typical Wyatt promo (note that is not meant as an insult.  Typical Wyatt promos are awesome)


CM Punk vs the Ryback

Ryback is the early aggressor but gets sent out of the ring by Punk.

Punk goes up on top of the barrier and launches himself at Ryback.

Back into the ring and these two are going back and forth in a flurry.

Punk with a series of strikes to seemingly get the advantage but Ryback with a brutal counter.

Ryback is ragdolling Punk and won't give him any room.

Ryback continues to have his way with Punk around the ring.

After some spears in the corner, Punk finally gets back control.

Punk has Ryback on the ropes and is readying the GTS when Heyman gets on the mic.

He proclaims himself the best in the world and reminds us that he defeated Punk.

The distraction gives Ryback time to recover and hit a slam.

Powerbomb from Ryback but only gets a two.

Heyman commands him to hit another one but Punk counters with the high roundhouse.

Punk goes up top and lands the flying elbow drop.

Punk goes up and hits a second one!

He goes for the GTS but Ryback counters into a powerbomb for two.

Ryback with forearms to a tangled up Punk.

As the ref is distracted Heyman goes for a kendo stick.

The ref sees it and starts to yell at him which gives Punk the chance to hit a low blow!

The low blow gets Punk the pinfall.

CM Punk wins by pinfall.


WWE Championship Match: Daniel Bryan vs Randy Orton

Good back and forth between the two to start things off.

They are setting a very deliberate pace to start things off but a few minutes in and things are starting to pick up.

Neither man can seem to gain the advantage as the two chain quality sequence after sequence together.

Orton seems to finally gain long term control as he hits a toss from the apron that sends Bryan crashing to the floor.

Orton tries to follow up but is countered by Bryan.

Bryan goes to the apron and then hits a cross body off the apron.

He tosses Orton back into the ring and then hits a series of running dropkicks in the corner.

Series of roundhouse from Bryan but Orton counters the tenth one into a t-bone suplex.

Superplex from Orton!

Orton tries to cover but Bryan counters with the Yes! Lock

Orton is about to tap when Big Show makes his way down and takes out the ref.

He then takes out Bryan.

Scott Armstrong makes his way down to the ring as Orton covers Bryan but then Big Show knocks out Armstrong!

Orton yelling at Show, so Big Show knocks him out!

Maddox on the top of the ramp looking at the ramp and surveying all of the destruction as we go to black.
