The one and only John Cena made his long awaited... okay, not so long, but whatever. He made his return to active wrestling tonight (Sun., Oct. 27, 2013) at the WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view (PPV) at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida, to take on Alberto Del Rio for the world heavyweight championship.
And now Big Gold is his once again.
The match was fairly straightforward and it always should have been. With Cena nursing an injured arm and Del Rio's finishing submission hold being a Cross Armbreaker, everything centered around the moment when "ADR" would lock it on and how Cena would manage to get out of it.
The answer? A powerbomb followed by an Attitude Adjustment.
That was enough to get the pinfall after a fine match with plenty of emotion from the crowd despite the lack of a long term feud going in. This worked much better than you would think, and the hot crowd had a lot to do with it.
