Although WWE has provided next to no back story for a match between the two, John Cena will indeed return from injury at tonight's (Sun., Oct. 27, 2013) Hell in a Cell pay-per-view (PPV) event at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida, to challenge Alberto Del Rio for the world heavyweight championship.
I suppose when the company's biggest star is getting back in the saddle, there's no need to explain the reasoning behind inserting him into a title match he didn't earn in kayfabe land.
The booking of this match will determine what the future holds for the SmackDown brand, if nothing else, so it's a hugely important bout for a number of reasons. Don't be surprised if Cena walks out champion, but don't be surprised if he doesn't either.
Remember, Damien Sandow, though he's been quiet of late, is still lurking out there with the Money in the Bank briefcase guaranteeing him a title shot at any moment he chooses.
