Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact; so remember to take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Ric Flair has been staying out of the spotlight since his disastrous showing at the WWE 2K14 announcement prior to SummerSlam back in August, and now it seems we know why. Flair was reportedly undergoing WWE sponsored rehab for his alcoholism and has just recently been released from treatment. Flair had been telling people that he was visiting with his daughter, Charlotte, in Florida where Charlotte trains at the WWE's development center.
  • We mentioned yesterday that WWE was taking it easy it Bray Wyatt, who suffered a calf injury over the weekend at a house show. He was going in for a second opinion and WWE must not have liked what they saw, as Wyatt is now expected to be sidelined for up to four weeks. He will not participate in a match at Hell in a Cell, though it is possible that Luke Harper and Erick Rowan will wrestle to keep him relevant while he recovers.
  • Speaking of Hell in a Cell, one match that was long planned for the event was Cody Rhodes and Goldust taking on Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns for the tag team titles. With Rhodes and Goldust winning the titles on Monday's Raw instead, it is now being said that those two teams will have a rematch at Hell in a Cell, which will also include the previous #1 contenders, the Usos, to make it a tag team triple threat match.
  • We mentioned a few weeks ago that NXTer Xavier Woods, formerly known as Consequences Creed in TNA, was near the top of the list of NXT stars WWE was planning to bring to the main roster. It appears that his involvement in the Big Show reinstatement petition storyline is going to be used as a means to bring him up. Woods has been out of action for a while dealing with a minor injury but it is believed he will be healthy soon.
  • Lisa Marie Varon, better known as Victoria in WWE and Tara in TNA, appears to be headed to Ring of Honor. She is expected to work the Glory by Honor XI event later this month.
