Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact; so remember to take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • In case you missed it, Bray Wyatt reportedly injured his leg at a house show in Providence, RI over the weekend. Wyatt had to be helped to the back and was checked out immediately by medical personnel. He then left the arena following the show on crutches. The injury is apparently not serious, as he was working the Philadelphia house show on Sunday night.
  • While that was going on in the US, much of the rest of the roster was in the UAE for a series of house shows. Saturday's show in Abu Dhabi was a fairly standard affair, with Daniel Bryan beating Randy Orton in a street fight (with that stipulation chosen by the crowd,) and Big Show defeating Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns in a handicap match. But perhaps the most interesting match on the card was Sami Zayn defeating Bo Dallas as the two NXTers made the trip with the main roster.
  • Rumors came out last week that the debacle of a Divas 6-person tag team match on last Monday's Raw was put together to punish Eva Marie. The extremely green Eva Marie was forced into action for a large part of the match with some of the worst workers on the female roster in what publications are calling the "worst match of the year." Now rumors are emerging that Eva Marie is "passionately hated" by many backstage. Many believe that part of the hatred towards her is that she has been given a push almost exclusively due to the Total Divas reality show and hasn't "paid her dues" in the wrestling industry.
  • TNA is still advertising Hulk Hogan to appear at next weekend's Bound for Glory pay per view. All reports still indicate that Hogan has no deal with place with TNA (or WWE for that matter,) leaving him as a free agent at this time. It's possible that the advertising is simply out of date, that this is all part of a work, or that TNA plans to give in to Hogan's supposed "crazy demands" this week in order to get him under contract before the event. At any rate, it seems as though TNA is planning to have Hogan back very soon.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Please remember, these are merely rumors. Try not to take them too seriously, just have fun with them.
