Daily Open Thread for Jan. 9, 2013

Here's your Daily Open Thread for Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013. As usual, come discuss whatever you would like if you get bored at work, or just want to chat with all your favorite lovely Cagesiders on any topic you want!

In continuing with the theme of "this date in history", on this date in the year 1788, Connecticut became the fifth state to be admitted to the United States. Seeing as CT is the home of WWE Headquarters, let's celebrate this event. What would we all be doing if wrestling wasn't coming to us thanks to the Constitution State? Plus, on a side note, how fortunate for the populace of CT to have dodged a bullet in not electing Linda McMahon to the US Senate.

Today's song is from a guy who hugged me, and spoke with me at length, when he gave me his autographed set-list at a bar in St. Louis, MO back in 2006... "A Quiet Mind" from the Argue With A Tree DVD and History For Sale CD by Blue October (my all time favorite band -- who I still mark out for even watching them on YouTube).
