Cageside Seats Year-End Awards: WWE 'TLC' wins 'Event of the Year'

The Cageside Seats Year-End Awards have crowned WWE "TLC" the "Event of the Year."

Perhaps this proves the memory that is freshest is the memory that is best.

It was a three horse race in the beginning but the time all was said and done, WWE's TLC pay-per-view (PPV), held just this past Dec. 16, 2012, in Brooklyn, was voted "Event of the Year" with 21 more votes than the second place show, WrestleMania 28.

Excitement from The Shield making their PPV debut in a thrilling tables, ladders, and chairs match against Team Hell No and Ryback, along with an equally great ladder match between John Cena and Dolph Ziggler in the main event, helped the show earn the distinction.

Here are the full results from our poll:

  1. WWE TLC -- 48 votes
  2. WWE WrestleMania 28 -- 27 votes
  3. WWE Extreme Rules -- 21 votes
  4. WWE Money in the Bank -- 4 votes
  5. WWE Night of Champions -- 3 votes
  6. TNA Destination X -- 3 votes
  7. TNA Bound for Glory -- 1 vote
