I'm afraid to say, but things go from bad to worse for former WWE Diva Tamara Sytch, aka Sunny, who has battled emotional and substance abuse problems off and on for over fifteen years now.
Her latest troubles started last September when she was arrested three times over the course of three days for domestic violence and violating a restraining order. Arrests number four and five quickly followed the next month when she broke the protective order twice more, the final time breaking into her boyfriend's home and being found there passed out.
In order to prevent a lengthier stay in jail for her crimes, Sytch agreed to go to rehab as part of WWE's Former Talent Rehabilitation Assistance Program. At the time I was sceptical that such treatment would fix her longstanding alcohol and drug issues, given that she had been in rehab numerous times before, whilst hoping that she had at least learnt to stay away from her estranged boyfriend Damien Darling in the future, which was clearly a toxic relationship.
As Dave Meltzer reported in the Jan. 14th, 2013 subscriber only Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Sytch made up with Darling as soon as she got out of rehab on Jan. 5th and they had even got engaged to be married. It didn't take Nostradamus to realise this would all end up in tears.
According to Connecticut's WTNH.com, Sytch was arrested for the sixth time over the weekend for violating the aforementioned protective order yet again when she visited her "ex"-boyfriend's home in order to continue patching up their relationship:
According to her attorney, Rob Serafinowicz, Sytch had permission from the court to have discussions with her ex-boyfriend relating to issues on their relationship, because they were attempting to reconcile.
"I believe that this situation was blown out of proportion. Tammie is doing her best to deal with her issues. She has made great progress and was putting forth her best efforts to try to identify issues in her relationship," said Serafinowicz.
In a believable explanation for what happened, Sytch's lawyer claimed Darling asked her to come round and only called the police when they started arguing. During the domestic dispute, Sytch apparently ended up with with two broken ribs and bruises all over her body, and has thus filed an assault complaint with the local police department against Darling.
The report ended by stating that Sytch is still receiving help from an out-patient rehab program and was scheduled to be in court earlier today. We'll update this story, Cagesiders, when we hear how that went on.
