Wrestler Wrankings™: 2012-13 Season, Week 43

After a long year of waiting, another Royal Rumble is finally here!

I'm sure most of you are aware of this already but allow me to emphasize how important this supercard is, at least in terms of the Wrestler Wrankings. First of all, #1 Sheamus is finally not involved in a world title match at a pay-per-view (PPV). What that means is everyone else, particularly #2 Ryback and #3 CM Punk, have a golden opportunity to make up some serious ground. Winning a title match on the Royal Rumble show ends up being worth 10 big points due to the double point bonus.

Of course, Sheamus is a participant in the Royal Rumble match itself. The winner of this yearly donnybrook is in for a Wrankings points windfall. First, they will receive four points for winning the Rumble. That's two points for a win, multiplied by two for the PPV bonus. Then, that lucky grappler will also receive the Wrestlemania 29 title shot as well. If they win, that's a possible 15 points.

Basically, Sheamus has a golden opportunity to virtually wrap up the Wrankings title in one swift and violent gesture. Can he seize the moment? Let me know what you think in the comments section!

The WWE season begins on the day after WrestleMania 28 and culminates with WrestleMania 29. The wrestler who accumulates the most points over the course of the season, wins the coveted Wrankings Championship!
