On this date in WWF history: What 'Monday Night Raw' looked like 16 years ago

Let's go back 16 years on this date in WWF history and take a gander at what "Monday Night Raw" used to look like.

Sometimes when looking at where you are now, you have to examine where you were before. You know, you can't know where you're going until you know where you've been and all that.

With that in mind, let's look back at what Monday Night Raw looked like 16 years ago today on this date in history (Jan. 13, 1997), and it's an interesting look back indeed.

There's just so much going on here. For starters, the show is only one hour long, as Raw wouldn't make the switch to two hours until Feb. 13 of that year. Then we've got Jerry Lawler as an active wrestler, Goldust in his prime, Triple H before he was Triple H and still a snob, Sid Vicious as WWF champion, The Rock as the super clean babyface Rocky Maivia, an alive British Bulldog, and Undertaker when he was kind of terrible.

Also, look out for Vader Time!

Enjoy.
