When the TNA Bound for Glory Series started, it seemed tailor made for James Storm to win it all and go on to a major championship showdown against Bobby Roode.

The "Cowboy" didn't even make it to the finals.

That was a direct result of interference from Roode, who ensured Storm lost his semifinal match against Bully Ray at the Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Impact Wrestling live pay-per-view (PPV) event, No Surrender, tonight (Sun., Sept. 9, 2012) at the Impact Wrestling Zone in Orlando, Florida.

This sets up the long awaited feud between those two, although the stakes are far lesser than they were originally intended to be.

In the other semifinal match, Jeff Hardy pinned Samoa Joe to advance to his finals match against Ray. Except they set up a scenario that screamed bad booking when Hardy was attacked and laid out by the Aces and Eights. Hulk Hogan came to the ring and negotiated with Ray to have the finals match move to Impact on Thursday night.

What a slap in the face to the PPV buyer that would have been.

Thankfully, Hardy answered the call anyway and sold an arm/shoulder injury. Initially, the match centered around Hardy playing the underdog role but quickly turned into a sad attempt at an epic, trading a million near falls type of match that didn't work because the crowd just wouldn't get up for it.

Either way, after hitting what seemed like 28 finishers, "The Charismatic Enigma" scored the pinfall and the victory to win the 2012 TNA Bound for Glory Series and advance to a championship match against Austin Aries at Bound for Glory next month.
