It should come as no surprise but Bully Ray has re-signed with Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Impact Wrestling.

That's according to the Wrestling Observer, who revealed the news in today's Daily Update.

As noted previously, Ray's contract status had been up in the air for some time after his deal came up alongside that of his former tag team partner Devon. And with TNA in the midst of cutting back in an attempt to save money, it seemed everyone was on the chopping block.

This was confirmed when both Devon, who was the television champion at the time he left, and Velvet Sky were allowed to leave after their contracts expired. Considering his star power relative to the rest of the roster, Ray was of far more importance.

Hence the new deal.

This news comes on the heels of his victory on Impact Wrestling last night (Sept. 6) that put him in the final four of the Bound for Glory Series, which comes to a close at the No Surrender live pay-per-view (PPV) event on Spike TV at 8 p.m. ET this coming Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at the Impact Wrestling Zone in Orlando, Florida. He's scheduled to take on James Storm.
