If you've been wondering why Christian hasn't been appearing on Monday Night Raw, Friday Night Smackdown, Superstars, NXT, Saturday Morning Slam, or even WWE house shows, it's because creative has nothing for him right now.
But he's just fine with that.
According to a report from PWInsider.com, Christian asked for time off after learning there wasn't anything big in the pipeline for him. His reason?
According to numerous sources, Christian actually asked for time off the road as there were no major storylines planned for him and the time off would give him a chance to rest his ankle, which is still giving him some issues after injuring it last year. WWE granted the request.
Christian had a solid series of matches with Cody Rhodes a couple months ago that saw him win the Intercontinental championship before inexplicably dropping it to The Miz at Raw 1000 back on July 23. He's been used sparingly ever since and now we know, or at least we think we do, he's simply trying to get healthy.
Nothing wrong with that.
