Is the "Best in the World" on a collision course with "The Best There Is, The Best There Was, and The Best There Ever Will Be?"

According to the folks at PW Insider, he very well could be, as Bret "The Hitman" Hart is scheduled to appear on next week's (Sept. 10) episode of Monday Night Raw. The scoop:

The WWE Hall of Famer was announced for this Monday's Raw, being held at the Bell Centre [formerly known as the Molson Centre] in Montreal. (Memorably) ...the site of the 1997 Survivor Series PPV, (or the one where) ...Hart was screwed legitimately out of the WWF title when WWF officials changed the finish of his bout against Shawn Michaels.

Obviously, WWE, Bret Hart, and Montreal have quite a bit of history together. The Montreal Screwjob's 15th anniversary will be this November. While the road has been rocky, Hart has patched things up with all parties involved and has become a somewhat frequent guest on WWE programming.

However, there is a small possibility that Hart's appearance might not even be televised. The show has been advertised as "Pat Patterson Appreciation Night" locally and Hart could simply be showing up as part of the celebration for the former Intercontinental Champion.

Then again, I don't think WWE will balk at a chance to have Bret Hart on TV in Montreal.

Be sure to tune in next Monday!
