It seems TNA wants to get King Mo Lawal some television time before his prominent role at Bound for Glory.
That's because the company announced the former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion and current Bellator signee will make his debut with the promotion on the Oct. 4, 2012, episode of Impact.
The reasoning, according to the promo:
"With Bobby Roode and James Storm completely out of control, Hulk Hogan calls in the big guns. 'It's the MMA champion, King Mo.' Don't miss the long awaited debut of King Mo on Impact Wrestling live, Thursday at 8 on Spike."
No wonder Hogan thought he was the special enforcer, brought in to restore order. That's what they make it sound like but a referee serves that purpose too, in a way. It's a questionable promotional strategy, though.
What's Lawal going to tell his Twitter followers? "Tune in to Bound for Glory to see me referee!!!"
It will be most interesting to see how much his presence moves the needle, if at all.
