Kelly Kelly released by WWE

Kelly Kelly has been released by WWE after seven long years with the promotion. It looks like the Diva's division really is just falling apart.

Add another one to the long list of Divas leaving WWE in a mass exodus never seen before.

According to WWE.com, top Diva Kelly Kelly has been released from the promotion effective today (Sept. 28, 2012) after seven long years with the company.

This has seemingly been a long time coming, as she took a leave of absence back in June and once she returned, she was hardly used. Actually, the only Divas on the roster who have been getting any extended time on television have been AJ Lee, who is the Raw General Manager, and Eve Torres, the division champion who also holds a position within Booker T's executive cabinet on Smackdown.

That doesn't leave a lot of room for anyone else because, frankly, Vince McMahon doesn't really care all that much about making sure the ladies have storylines.

It's gotten so bad of late that most of the Diva's division has been depleted because the women are all leaving to pursue other opportunities. Kelly Kelly, Beth Phoenix, Nikki and Brie Bella, Kharma, and even Michelle McCool are all gone and I'm sure I'm missing a lady or two.

As for what's next for Kelly, she'll be doing acting and modeling, the two areas she always should have been working in.
