With the new site changes and all the madness that has ensued from that, my brain has been fried... in a good way, of course.

But that led to my forgetting to post the result from the "Ric Flair v Ricky Steamboat, Chi-Town Rumble 1989" vs. "Triple H v Cactus Jack, Royal Rumble 2000" match in the Cageside Seats Greatest Matches Tournament.

After one day of voting, it was tied, so we left it open for an additional day, which just so happened to be the same day the new layout and design took effect. Thankfully, almost all of you have been positive and have shown that you're true Cagesiders, sticking it out and voting like you usually do.

The extra time allotted allowed us to decide a winner and that ended up being "Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat, Chi-Town Rumble 1989," by just two votes, 49-47.

This one feels a little bittersweet because what may have been the best match of Triple H's entire career was just voted out of the tournament. He'll have other chances, as will Jack, although under different names.

Hey, did we get a Dude Love match in here? Maybe against Stone Cold Steve Austin at Over the Edge 1998?

Anyway, here's the vote tally list:

The tournament is ongoing today with a really tight match-up that may produce a monster upset. Number one seed "Bret Hart vs. British Bulldog, SummerSlam 1992" is in jeopardy of falling to number 16 seed "Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho, No Mercy 2008."
