Kurt Angle vs. Shane McMahon, King of the Ring 2001
When the WWF bought out WCW, it was only a matter of time before they ran an invasion angle. That started with the announcement from McMahon, who interrupted and insulted Angle in the process. They feuded and eventually got to King of the Ring, where they had one of the most brutal matches in company history.
Before all was said and done, McMahon would suffer head injuries and Angle would leave with a jacked up tailbone.
Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler, Bragging Rights 2010
The Bragging Rights pay-per-view concept was such that wrestlers from Raw and Smackdown would square off in various matches for ... uh ... bragging rights.
That's what Bryan and Ziggler did in an interpromotional champion vs. champion match, with Bryan holding the U.S. title at the time and Ziggler the Intercontinental champ.
