This past Friday night's (Aug. 31, 2012) episode of WWE Smackdown is available for your viewing pleasure. In the main event of the evening, Dolph Ziggler jobbed clean to Randy Orton.
But it was what happened after that stuck out to me.
Immediately after Orton hit the RKO and picked up the pinfall win, Vickie Guerrero grabbed the microphone from Lilian Garcia and declared Ziggler "still the Money in the Bank winner."
This is brilliant because it lets Orton look strong in picking up a clean win off the strength of his finisher but it allows Ziggler to keep his heat and downplay the loss by reminding everyone that hey, he's still got the briefcase promising him a world heavyweight title shot whenever he wants it.
He lost but he's still a winner.
Other highlights include Damien Sandow being awesome, a solid tag team match, and Kane continuing his run of being an entertaining old monster (sorry, Asterisk).
