UPDATE: We're going to try out giving this first round match-up two days due to the nature of the tournament dictating the need to rewatch matches if some find it necessary. Plus, it gives more time to reach the most potential voters as possible. If it doesn't work out, we'll go right back to one day.
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Triple H, No Way Out 2001
When Austin needed neck surgery in 1999, he was written off television in an angle at Survivor Series that saw him get run over by a mystery man in a limo. That man turned out to be Rikishi but it was later revealed to be Triple H behind the whole ordeal.
They feuded over this and the culmination of it was a Three Stages of Hell match at No Way Out in 2001.
Shawn Michaels vs. John Cena, Raw 2007
Because Triple H tore his quadriceps during a tag match in early 2007, Michaels was inserted into a feud with Cena over the WWE championship for that year's WrestleMania. Cena would win in a solid affair but the rematch that occurred on the April 23, 2007, episode of Raw was much better.
They went close to an hour due to some unforeseen circumstances and blew the roof off the arena in London.
