Although John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL) got the nod for yesterday's (Sept. 16) Night of Champions pay-per-view (PPV), it seems WWE will be going in a different direction tonight... sort of.
From WWE's new app:
Tonight on RAW - Jim Ross returns to the announce booth while Jerry Lawler recovers. Tune in tonight at 8 ET / 7 CT - only on USA Network!
There was originally a report that Good Ol' JR was in Boston last night and was possibly going to be tapped for commentating duties. WWE instead turned to JBL, who did an outstanding job working with Michael Cole. The two quickly regained all the chemistry they had when they first worked together years ago.
Now, they'll be joined by Ross for a three-man booth, presumably for the duration of the night's broadcast.
What do you think, Cagesiders? Are you happy to see JR back in the booth, if only for one night?
