As expected, the gimmick of last night's (Aug. 6, 2012) episode of WWE Monday Night Raw being dubbed Shawn Michaels Appreciation Night was relegated to something for the live audience's eyes only. It makes sense, too, considering the show was held in his hometown of San Antonio, Texas.
Thankfully, PWTorch.com had someone in attendance who was able to pass word along regarding what happened once Raw went off the air.
John Cena recovered to introduce a video package to commemorate "The Heartbreak Kid's" illustrious career before bringing Michaels back down to the ring. CM Punk would also come down to say he was greatly inspired by Michaels and he's kept an autograph from him since he was 15 years old.
Vince McMahon also made an appearance to tell Michaels he always felt like a father to him before saying he loves him.
Finally, and perhaps the most meaningful, Undertaker was given his own entrance (as usual) and he hit the ring to tell Michaels if he had to list his top five matches of all time, Michaels "would be directly responsible in some way for three of them."
John Laurinaitis also made an appearance but that was just to get hit with a Sweet Chin Music or two to send the crowd home even happier than they already were.
