During last night's (July 3, 2012) live episode of WWE Smackdown in Corpus Christi, Texas, Cody Rhodes had his appeal answered with another shot at qualifying for the world heavyweight championship Money in the Bank ladder match and answered the call by defeating Christian to get in.

That made six participants.

Later on, Dolph Ziggler pinned Alex Riley to qualify for the match as well, bringing the grand total to seven -- count 'em -- seven superstars in the Smackdown brand MITB ladder match at the pay-per-view (PPV) of the same name on Sun., July 15, 2012, in Phoenix, Arizona.

The list of men in as of right now:

1. Tensai
2. Christian
3. Cody Rhodes
4. Dolph Ziggler
5. Santino Marella
6. Damien Sandow
7. Tyson Kidd

Christian, Rhodes and Ziggler seem like the only wrestlers with a real shot at winning this thing but anything can happen in situations like this. Fans have been pining for Rhodes and Ziggler to get main event pushes but only one of them can come out of this with the briefcase and the contract and the certain heavyweight championship win down the road.

Sounds grand, no?

Check out the updated Money in the Bank 2012 match card after the jump.
