Well, it looks like Rey Mysterio won't be added onto the Raw Money in the Bank ladder match.
PWInsider is reporting both he and Mark Henry will return to television on the 1,000th episode of Raw set for July 23, a week after the Money in the Bank pay-per-view (PPV).
The company's reasoning is they want the show to be memorable and are pulling out all the stops, including hiring drug addict Charlie Sheen to be the episode's "Social Media Ambassador" for the evening.
PG Era, eh?
So as for now, it appears as if Raw's ladder match -- which grants the winner a guaranteed shot at the WWE Championship for one year -- will remain at four men with John Cena, Kane, The Big Show and Chris Jericho already announced as participants.
I don't know about you, Cagesiders but when I think ladder match, the names Cena and Big Show don't immediately spring to mind. Kane actually has won a previous Money in the Bank and Jericho is great enough to be in any kind of match but this has abomination written all over it.
The addition of Mysterio, who was backstage last night in Laredo, Tx and cleared of his Wellness Policy violation suspension, would have brought a welcome, high-flying addition to the match.
As for Henry, it'll be great to see the Hall of Pain back in full effect. Hopefully, Henry can continue his brilliant run he started last year and finish his career on a high note.
