On this date in WWF history: Prime Time Wrestling with Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan

Before there was ever Monday Night Raw, the World Wrestling Federation's (WWF) weekly television program on USA was Prime Time Wrestling, a two hour show that featured a few wrestling matches, a promo here and there, and two hosts breaking down the latest happenings in the WWF at the time.

The show is looked back on rather fondly, especially during the years that saw Gorilla Monsoon hosting alongside Bobby Heenan. The two had a natural chemistry together and never failed to entertain. And on this date in WWF history (July 28, 1986) it was no different.

There's nothing particularly special about this episode other than the fact that in doing research for a history post on this day, I stumbled across the video you see above and immediately watched it straight through. There was simply no other choice but to share it with you.

I'll let the video speak for itself. Enjoy!
