If boxing's most desired match-up can't go down in its own ring, why not a wrestling ring?
A bout between Floyd Mayweather -- who is currently serving an 87-day stint in county jail -- and Manny Pacquiao -- who is coming off a controversial split decision loss to Timothy Bradley -- has long been desired by boxing fanatics and casual fans alike but for one reason or another, it's never materialized.
But if there's one guy who can finally get these two inside the same ring, it's... Rey Mysterio?
He apparently thinks so and said as much during a press tour through the Philippines, home country of "PacMan."
The recently returned masked man had this to say:
"I love Manny. In fact, Manny, if you're watching right now, I'm inviting you to join forces with Rey Mysterio in the WWE to take on "Money" (Floyd) Mayweather. I know you don't need me to take him on but this is just a teaser: me and you versus him and Alberto del Rio," he said.
Mayweather, of course, is no stranger to WWE, having taken on The Big Show at WrestleMania 24. Pacquiao prefers to spend his free time in the Philippines Congress which, if anything like the stateside version, might be more dramatic than anything that goes down inside a WWE ring.
The chances of this happening? Slim to none.
But then again, stranger things have happened.
