Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling put on a solid episode of Impact last night (July 26, 2012) but a prominent member of the Knockouts division, Velvet Sky, was conspicuous by her absence.

And that's because she has officially been released by the company.

She took to Twitter last night to reveal as much:

"I have been granted my release by TNA at this time. It's what's best for me right now and I wanted to thank TNA and all the fans for their constant support in me. Stay tuned though.. And I also want to thank Vince Russo for creating and believing in the team of The Beautiful People. We had a great run!"

Previous reports that Sky had one foot out the door have been proven correct. With word that contracts are being restructured and TNA is looking to save money with the new deals, it's not surprising she left, as it wouldn't be to see others do the same.
