Rey Mysterio wants to 'thank every single' supporter following his return

It's been quite a year for Rey Mysterio.

He was drafted to Raw during the 2011 Draft and immediately made an impact, feuding with the likes of R-Truth and CM Punk. During the Money in the Bank ladder match for Raw, Mysterio nearly walked home with the briefcase until fellow Mexican -- and former rival -- Alberto Del Rio nearly unmasked him.

But it was what happened during the main event of that card which would affect Mysterio the most.

Punk defeated John Cena for the WWE Championship and walked out of the arena -- and the company itself -- with the title. Vince McMahon ordered a tournament to crown a new champion which Mysterio won.

Unfortunately for the littlest big man, Cena would get his rematch the same night and won, making Mysterio the shortest reigning champion in the title's history.

You know, aside from that whole André the Giant debacle.

A couple months later, he was injured during a house show and had to get surgery. Then came his second Wellness Policy violation.

But now he's back and he's got his aim set on Del Rio. But what does Mysterio have to say to his fans?

Here's what the former cruiserweight champion had to say:

"It's been almost a year since I've been in the ring & want to take the time now to thank every single one of U that has been supporting me! Thanx 4 believing & 4 all the love, but most important I thank God 4 letting me do what I love! Perform 4 all of U! 1 love,, RM619"
