SHINE Wrestling's debut went down last night from Ybor City, FL.
Set up as a sister promotion to SHIMMER, I can't see why it can't simply act as a stand-alone promotion. Much like DragonGate USA's relationship with EVOLVE, there isn't much difference aside from the name.
And based on how well the show went off last night, I can definitely see SHINE overtaking SHIMMER as the premiere female wrestling promotion.
Oh, and SHINE Wrestling 2 has already been announced for next month, August 17, the Friday before SummerSlam.
Not too shabby, eh?
Check out the results:
My nerd crush (sorry, AJ) Veda Scott defeated Kimberly with a snapmare DDT
Santana Garrett defeated Tina San Antonio with a roll-up
Allysin Kay and Taylor Made defeated Su Yung (ACW represent~!) and Tracy Taylor when Kay hit Yung with a cutter
Christina Von Eerie defeated Cherry Bomb with a sidewalk slam into a facebuster
Reby Sky defeated Jayme Jameson with a Twist of Fate (OF COURSE SHE DID)
The mid-show award ceremony for Jazz was interrupted by Mercedes Martinez
Mercedes Martinez defeated Leva Bates with a fisherman buster
Rain -- known as Payton Banks in TNA -- defeated Nikki Roxx -- known as Roxxi in TNA -- with a roll-up but used the ropes for leverage
And in the main event, Jazz defeated Sara Del Rey with the X Factor
How does that sound, Cagesiders?
